Suzanis are embroidered pieces produced all over Uzbekistan. They are a part of the bridal trousseau. 
The base is hand woven on narrow domestic looms and the widths are stitched together.
Someone in the family draws the design on the fabric which would be embroidered.
Cotton,silk or both may be used.
